Clothing Donation
This year Pincasa returns with the solidarity initiative to collect used clothing for the NGO CARITAS through its companies MODA RE- and ARROPA.
This year the staff has gone out of their way and we have collected more than 200kg of clothing, which managed by MODA RE- work to be leaders in social employment creation, ethical management of textile recovery and recycling processes and economic self-sufficiency, through the opening of second-hand clothing stores.
Its objectives are:
- Promote access to the labor market for people in a situation or risk of exclusion.
- Manage and dignify social delivery to families with limited economic resources.
- Give the collected clothing the best possible treatment, respecting the waste hierarchy.
Do you know why Moda re- is a circular economy?
The circular economy is presented as a system for using resources where reduction, reuse and recycling of elements prevail. Fashion re-develops in this circular economy system, an economic concept based on sustainability, and whose objective is that the value of products, materials and resources are maintained in the economic process for as long as possible and that they are Minimize waste generation. It is about closing the life cycle of the different elements, compared to the linear economic system, based on “use and throw away”, where the production and management model of resources, goods and services seeks to promote short-term consumption, which is leading the planet to an unsustainable situation. Its commitment to the sustainability of the planet is another of its strengths, it improves clothing reuse and fabric recycling ratios and saves on municipal waste management.
